paste a link, keep the words

Paste a link.
Keep the words.

EverythingStar YouTube reads a video’s captions, stores the timings outside the site, and turns them into a lyrics chart the game can play. Search the cache as much as you like; adding a URL is the only time we ask YouTube.

A word or phrase goes in Search, not here. Nothing is downloaded from YouTube except the caption track.

How it works

One URL in, a timed lyric chart out

01PasteWatch, share, Shorts or embed links all work. Playlists and channels do not.
02ReadManual captions win on text; auto captions supply word times when they are better.
03CacheThe raw track lives in R2, the searchable lines and words in D1.
04Play or searchOpen the synced page, add the playlist to EverythingStar, or search the cache.

Paste a YouTube URL above. If the video has captions, it will appear here in a few seconds.

Charts, not captions

Chorus Encore (Enchor) is a public library of Clone Hero / Rock Band charts. Search it through its API, then play the .sng package in EverythingStar.

No scraping

The Enchor provider uses api.enchor.us — the same endpoint as the Bridge client — and a CORS proxy for the package files. Charts stay their creators’ work.

For EverythingStar

Add the cache as an on-demand playlist

In EverythingStar, open Playlists → Add a playlist and paste this URL. Then type a lyric or paste a YouTube URL into the jukebox search. The cache is what it searches; a URL is the one request that adds a new video.
